Admin -Can I add a quarterly allocation that expires at the end of each quarter?

Last updated: April 23, 2026

Currently, Cercli supports expiration at the end of the calendar year. Quarterly expiry (e.g. 3 wellness days per quarter that expire at quarter end) is not yet available as a built-in option. In the meantime, you can manage this manually or reach out to Cercli support to discuss workarounds.

When I add an employee to birthday leave and their birthday has already passed, does it grant automatically?

No. Birthday leave is tenure-based and does not backfill automatically if the birthday has already passed after the employee was added to the policy. The entitlement will be granted from the next eligible birthday onwards.

How do I set an expiry date for carried-over leave days?

You can edit carryover settings directly from the policy screen

On your left side bar go to Settings, find Time off. Find your annual or time off category.

To edit the policy within the wanted category click on "View policies"

Update the carryover settings to set your preferred expiry date (e.g. end of March)

Changes apply from the moment you save them and will take effect in the next accrual period. They do not impact leave that has already been accrued.

Is there a report that shows carried-over days across all employees?

Yes. On the left side bar, go to the Reports section and use the Time Off Balance Summary template. This gives you a full overview without needing to check each employee profile individually.
